A popular festival to bid farewell to summer will return to LaSalle this weekend.
The fourth annual Last Call Before Fall will return Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12.
This end-of-summer celebration invites guests to enjoy locally crafted beverages, live entertainment, and a lively atmosphere.
The event features partners from the Barrels, Bottles and Brews Trail and Essex Pelee Island Coast (EPIC) Wineries.
Windsor’s DJ Qrius George will kick off the weekend on Friday night with a throwback party featuring hits from over the decades while Saturday night will feature HiGGi Country Music, led by Windsor-Essex musician, singer-songwriter, and frontman Rob Higgins.
LaSalle mayor Crystal Meloche says they see all age demographics at the event.
“Last year we noticed a real change in the makeup of people who came out to enjoy the event, and we had people... 19, 20 year olds coming out to enjoy the music as well, coming with their family. I have two daughters, 20 and 23, who hopefully will be able to come out this weekend and join me if they’re not working.”
She says the entertainment will be great.
“On Friday night we have a DJ playing throwback music for those 80’s, 90’s, and 2000’s music lovers. And then on Saturday we have HiGGi Country Music, so something for everybody this weekend. Always excited for this event because it’s an adults event, and we don’t often offer those in the Town of LaSalle.”
Meloche says it’s a great way to support local.
“It’s a great evening for everyone just to go out, try some local wineries, and breweries, and spirits that are all from Essex County. We have food vendors on site as well for people to come out and even have dinner while they’re there. There’s the fire pits we always have outdoors for hopefully that nice, crisp fall evening. It’s just a great event.”
Tickets for both nights are still available but are selling quick.
The event runs from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. both nights at the Event Centre at LaSalle Landing.
