A lot of excitement for two of the first people to ride the new transit service in LaSalle.
Steve Philbin and his son Eddie were on the bus Tuesday morning when the service launched.
They got picked up on Malden Road in front of the Zehrs store.
Steve Philbin says he's glad the service is in LaSalle.
"It's a big city, LaSalle, there's enough for a bus route here. At least one anyways," says Philbin.

Transit Windsor Executive Director Pat Delmore says there has been a lot of interest in the new service.
"We've had a lot of phone calls into Transit Windsor asking about information, how to get to different locations in the city of Windsor and the town of LaSalle," says Delmore. "I do believe it is going to be a popular route."
The town has entered into a five year partnership with Transit Windsor.
The bus service is free for the first three months for anyone being picked-up in LaSalle.
