The Town of LaSalle will keep its indoor concession stand operation at the Vollmer Centre in house.
As heard on AM800 news in December, the town wanted to gauge options and interests from potential operators.
Director of Culture and Recreation Julie Columbus says a request for proposal (RFP) was issued and one company stepped forward.
Big Daddy's Coney Island put a bid in to operate the concession stand.
The company was willing to pay $5,330 annually and sign a three-year lease but administration felt it was best for the municipality to continue running the stand.
"They were offering to pay annually towards the operation of the concession," says Columbus. "So it would be an amount that they would be paying the town to run their business out of our space."

Columbus says the town will look at ways to reduce costs.
"We're looking at really working with our user groups and the people that are in the facility and when we can house and operating to service those users," says Columbus. "We're going to look at some revenues and some expenditures and how we can adjust maybe scheduling, how we can adjust some of our product, look at the menu."
Columbus says the town was not sure how many interested operators would step forward during the RFP process.
Columbus says the town will revisit the concession stand operation in early 2020.
The stand has been running a deficit the past three years and has lost $61,000.
The last time the stand made money was back in 2014, when it generated only $1,700.
There are 25 students -- who are LaSalle residents -- who work at the concession stand throughout the year.
