Calling all LEGO lovers!
The Town of LaSalle will be hosting a brand new exhibition called Sean Kenney's Animal Super Powers Made with LEGO Bricks.
These sculptures made of LEGO will be at the Event Centre at LaSalle Landing starting in January and running until early April, 2024.
From the mind of acclaimed artist, Sean Kenney, Animal Super Powers showcases larger-than-life sculptures that explore the evolutionary, biological, and environmental reasons for animal adaptations such as shapeshifting, super-strength, echolocation, and limb regeneration.
Produced by Imagine Exhibitions, this exhibit is full of STEAM content and will inspire budding artists, engineers, zoologists, and biologists to expand their imaginations, get curious and explore.
Patti Funaro, Director of Culture and Recreation with the Town of LaSalle, says the Town is very excited to host this event.
"We're excited to be presenting Sean Kenney's Animal Super Powers made with LEGO Bricks, which is coming to the Event Centre at LaSalle Landing taking place beginning Monday, January 22, and it's going to run all the way until Saturday, April 6, 2024."

She says there hasn't been anything like this exhibit in LaSalle before.
"To my knowledge I don't think there's been a whole lot of travelling exhibits in the Windsor-Essex region. So, we're super excited that we have this new Event Centre that's been open not quite a year yet, we're excited that we have the space available to do something like this that's just going to be so appealing to people of all ages."
Funaro says it's a great event for everyone to enjoy.
"It is animals that have been made from LEGO bricks, so it explores a variety of different animals of large size that are made from bricks, and what goes along with that."
The exhibition is set to open Monday, January 22, 2024 and will run until Saturday, April 6, 2024.
More information on tickets and exact dates for the shows will be released in the coming weeks.
