The Strawberry Festival has been named one of the top 100 festivals in the province.
Festival co-chair Crystal Meloche says she's pleased.
She says the festival has made some changes over the last few years, one of them being the introduction of local strawberries.
Meloche says it's exciting.
"We had received that award a few years ago and we've done a lot of changes over the last few years to our festival so we're really honoured to receive that again," says Meloche, a town councillor.
She says the recognition will be used as a promotional tool.
"Obviously that's important to be able to say that you're a top 100 in Ontario. We've put a lot of work into our festival. It's going on 30 years so I think that allow has a lot to do with it," says Meloche.
This year's festival runs June 8th to June 11th at Gil Maure Park.
Carrousel of Nations and the Tecumseh Corn Fest were also named in the top 100 by the group Festivals and Events Ontario to honour excellence within the industry.
