A soccer fundraising event held in LaSalle tripled the amount raised in the inaugural year.
The 2nd Soccerfest in Honour of Bonnie Petric this past weekend raised over $20,000 for Transition to Betterness.
The number of teams involved increased from 14 to 35, including a couple from Windsor.
The event raised $6,800 in its first year in memory of a LaSalle Stompers clubhouse manager who died after a short battle with cancer.
