LaSalle's Kylie Masse wins the Gold in the 100 metre Backstroke at the FINA World Championship in Budapest.
With a World Record time of 58.10, Masse beat the best in the world to break an 8-year-old record.
Kathleen Baker of the U.S. was second, nearly 5/10ths of a second later.
Austrailian Emily Seebohm placed 3rd, 1/100th of a second back.
The 21-year-old also won Bronze in last summer's Olympics in Rio and she earned a Silver last December at the FINA World Short-Course meet at the WFCU Centre.
