The 2019 draft budget is in for the Town of LaSalle.
The budget calls for a zero percent increase.
Director of Finance and Treasurer Dale Langlois says the municipal levy is expected to increase an additional $2.6-million but is not expected to impact residents.
He says administration has been working on the budget for the past year.
"It's always a lot of work," says Langlois. "The varies departments put in a lot of work to come up with a respectable budget. We kind of have a base level budget where we just factor in inflation and then from there we move towards different proposed service level increases that have been identified throughout the year."

Langlois says a number of items played a factor in the zero percent hike including a provincial increase in the gas tax funding for LaSalle Transit.
"There's a lot of factors that have resulted in that specifically the growth," says Langlois. "You look around LaSalle and the value of houses are, they're really large houses going up, there's quite a few that went up this year so that really helped with the button line and helped get the budget to zero."
Langlois presented some of the budget highlights to LaSalle council Tuesday night.
Deliberations will take place on January 10th and 11th.
The draft document will be posted on the town's website Wednesday afternoon.
In 2018, council approved a one percent increase when administration originally recommended a 1.75 percent hike.
