It looks like LaSalle residents would like to see a dog park in their municipality.
On Thursday, the town held an open house to hear comments and feedback from residents about hosting a potential dog park.
Director of Culture and Recreation Julie Columbus says the feedback she received was very supportive.
"So far comments have been very positive and a lot of interest in different locations in the town so it's just a matter of getting that information and getting in front of council to make a decision."
Dog owner Gary Fera lives in LaSalle and wants to see a dog park in LaSalle.
"Dogs need a place to run around without a leash, they need to be able to socialize with other dogs and Windsor, Tecumseh, I know a lot of other communities have dog parks, they're wonderful places to go and LaSalle with its growing population and so many dog owners, they definitely need one as well."
He doesn't have a certain location in mind.
"The park should have some shade, it should have benches for the owners, it needs water so the dogs could have water to keep hydrated," he says. "But as long as it has shade I think the rest will take care of itself."

Columbus says plans are still in the early stages but a dog park could feature a number of different options.
"Obstacle courses, benches, water stations, doggy bags, garbage, shade all those things you see in various locations so we just thought we'd give a presentation on what's available and then gauge interest again from the public and bring that information forward to council."
She says the town's parks master plan calls for the dog park to be at either Brunet Park or Optimist Park.
"It depends on what comes forward again obviously how many bells and whistles and what council is looking at," says Columbus. "So just your generic costing for fencing and amenities, could be anywhere from 50,000 all the way up to above and beyond $100,000."
The town will continue to take public comments until September 29th.
Once the comment period closes, a report will be brought to town council likely in October.
