Large crowds are expected at the Vollmer Centre in LaSalle over the next four days as the town hosts its annual Strawberry Festival.
The 2023 edition kicks off on Thursday at 6 p.m. and features live entertainment, rides and games, a parade, fireworks and thousands of strawberries.
Councillor Sue Desjarlais says the town is expecting 'lots of people' to attend the event.
"If our night markets have been any indicator then we're in for a lot of people which is great, that's what we're here for," says Desjarlais.

She says the town is offering a shuttle service on Friday for the fireworks from the new event centre to the Vollmer Centre.
"People complain about parking no matter what the event is so we're trying to help alleviate some of the parking issues at the Vollmer," says Desjarlais. "People can park at the event centre, park at the marina and walk over to the event centre and we'll have buses running I believe it's every half hour between the event centre and the Vollmer."
Desjarlais says town is anticipating over 300 flats of strawberries from Raymont's Berries in Cottam.
LaSalle Transit is offering free bus service for the entire weekend and Bike Windsor Essex is offering a free bike valet service.
There is a $5 admission fee to attend the event.
