LaSalle police are asking for the public's help.
Police say a salt spreader was stolen from a pick-up truck between January 31 and February 5.
According to police, the pick-up was parked at a business in the east end of town.
Police say the spreader itself forms a part of the entire salting device which attaches to the rear of a large slide in bin that sits in the rear of the pick up truck.
The salter is a Snow Ex brand with model number VMAXXG2 and is yellow in colour.
Anyone with information is asked to call LaSalle police.
