A warning to boaters from LaSalle Police.
The police service is asking all boaters, from jet skis to yachts, to slow down and mind their wake.
This comes after the municipality along with the police force, received complaints of property damage caused by vessel traffic and speeding on the Detroit River.
Police say the high water level is causing all sorts of issues with flooding and property damage.
According to police, many marina docks are submerged and the land is being eroded.
Police are reminding boaters that all of the Detroit River in LaSalle is posted as 10 kilometres per hour and if you're causing a wake to slow down.
Police say they will be out in full force this summer making sure speed limits along with other boating practices are followed.
