LaSalle is one of the safest communities for drivers.
That's according to the latest Allstate Insurance Company of Canada Safe Driving Study.
The ninth annual Safe Driving Study examines the collision data of Allstate Canada customers in Alberta, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Ontario. The data is used to rank communities in the provinces studied according to their collision frequency rate.
LaSalle is 7th on the list with a collision claims frequency rate of 4.11% (per 100 cars from 2015-2017).
Amherstburg and Essex are tied for 19th on this year's list with a rate of 4.72%.
Belle River is 26th on the list at 5.02% while Windsor is 42nd at 5.53%.
The 2017 study also found that the most severe collisions during the last period can be attributed to incidents involving pedestrians and cyclists, while the second-most severe type of collision was head-on collisions.
Friday was also the worst day of the week for accidents.
