Get ready to mark your calendar as the first LaSalle Night Market is only a couple of weeks away.
The first market of the season will open on Sunday, May 28.
The market will host many vendor booths featuring handcrafted merchandise, artisan pieces, food, and farm-to-table fresh produce.
LaSalle Night Markets are scheduled on the last Sunday of the months of May through to September, where the May through August markets will be held at the LaSalle Civic Centre, and the September market will be held at the new Event Centre.
Scott Bisson, Manager of Culture and Recreation for the Town of LaSalle, says there will be something at the market for everyone.
"Local artisan's, people who have handmade goods, handmade products that might be food, different crafts, woodworking, a wide range, pretty much something for everyone. We've experienced great feedback on the market and we're really looking forward to kicking them off again on May 28th."
He says it's always a busy event in the Town.
"We average probably around 1,500 people that come out to each Night Market, and it's the last Sunday in the month from May to September. And we know that people are looking forward to it again. It's a fantastic setting at the Town's Civic Centre, people get out there, they shop, they support local businesses, but they also see neighbours and friends at these events."
Bisson says the market will be held at two centre's in the Town this year.
"Our May, June, July, August markets will be at the Civic Centre, our September market we're looking to have at the Event Centre. And of course we have our Holiday Light's Heritage Night Market's each Sunday in December, so, those ones will be at the Event Centre. So, we just kind of balanced it between the two properties."
The market runs from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the LaSalle Civic Centre, located at 5950 Malden Road.
