The Town of LaSalle will be looking into when and how it decides to close its sports fields after a heavy rain.
Several concerns have been brought forward from councillors and community userĀ groups about the policy and whether or not drainage systems are working properly.
Town administration has been instructed to put together a report on possible improvements to make sure sports fields are open and accessible more frequently.
As it stands now, the town's Parks Supervisor checks the fields on a daily basis.
If there is standing or surface water, the field is saturated or there are any safety or liability concerns, it's closed for the day.
There's no timeline for the report, but it is expected to come back to council in the near future.
