The 'LaSalle Hangout for Youth' has found a permanent home.
The group offers a safe place for teens, ages 12-18, to drop-in after school to play games, do their homework, to take part in some workshops or to get some counseling.
The group has been in temporary locations since it opened in November 2015, but starting next month, it will be in its permanent location at 1400 Front Rd.
Group Board of Directors Member Brian Kovacsi says there are computers in the centre, but no T.Vs.
"Part of our mandate is to get social interaction going between the kids, not just to sit down and watch TV because they can do that anywhere. The idea is to promote them being social with each other and get along," says Kovacsi.
"It gives us more stability, not only for youth coming in but also for the program itself to draw more volunteers."
The group is currently in a church in town.
It is mostly funded through donations.
