Excuses are not going to cut it.
That's the message from provincial police in South Huron, Ont.
Police say a driver from LaSalle was clocked going 107 kilometres per hour in a 50 kilometre zone last Sunday afternoon in Dashwood.
According to police, a Huron County OPP officer was conducting radar patrol on Main Street when he saw a westbound vehicle speeding into town.
After being stopped, the 21-year-old driver told the officer "he didn't realize he was in a 50 km/h zone."
The driver has been charged with Drive Motor Perform a Stunt - Excessive Speed.
His licence is now suspended and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
He will appear in a Goderich court in October.
