A change is coming to the landscape in LaSalle.
The town has approved a new 10-unit apartment building on Adam's Lane.
Mayor Ken Antaya says it's just the type of housing diversification the town needs.
"It's a good thing," says Antaya. "It allows people that are looking at downsizing to sell their home and still stay in the community and that's something we've been striving for for the last few years."
Antaya admits you don't generally associate apartments with LaSalle but they're becoming more popular.
"It's the second one in the last three years that's been built in the town" says Antaya. "The first one was very popular and was rented very quickly. I suspect that this one will be very similar."
The two-and-a-half storey building includes off-street parking.
