The Town of LaSalle hopes to name its new Director of Culture and Recreation early in the new year.
Mayor Ken Antaya says the job posting has expired and the town's CAO and HR department are now going over applications.
This is the second time this year the position has been posted.
Back in mid-July, the town announced the hiring of Beth Gignac but just days before she was suppose to start in September, she informed the town she was no longer interested in the position.
Antaya says the recreation department continues to run smooth.
"I think it has a lot to do with Terry Fink leading the way for all those years and his staff who are now carrying it using him as an example that they're able to continue providing the service the community needs," says Antaya.
The town has been without a permanent Director of Culture and Recreation since the retirement of Terry Fink at the end of June.
Patti Funaro is the town's interim director.
