18-year-old Blake McConville will take part in a regional Olympic talent search this Saturday in Toronto as part of the Top 100 'Future Olympian' prospects in Ontario.
The event gives athletes a chance to test their strength, speed and endurance in front of officials from 14 Olympic sports, and earn 'Future Olympian' funding from RBC.

In McConville's case, his sport is the javelin, he says his parents saw a commercial about the talent search.
"It popped up a couple of times during the Olympics or something and they thought 'might as well sign Blake up for this,' just to see how I do in it and when it could go."
McConville has been a track and field athlete in high school, he's played AAA baseball and has just finished his first OHL season as a member of the Sudbury Wolves.
