A LaSalle teen is being honoured for his achievements in Hollywood.
Carson Reaume has been given the town's Citizen Award after winning Best Supporting Young Actor at the Young Entertainers Awards for the feature film 'The Shack'.
'The Shack' was filmed in Vancouver and stars Sam Worthington and Octavia Spencer.
Reaume says being involved in a big production is an experience he'll never forget.
"It was really cool because everyone on set was really welcoming and caring and I felt like I belonged even though my part wasn't the biggest part in the movie, but I felt like it was a family on set. It was really cool to travel there and see all the life and acting there compared to here."
He says being recognized by his home town means a lot as well.
"I'm really honoured to be here today and accept this award. I know I'm only 15-years-old, but I think I've accomplished a lot more than people would expect. It's really cool that I live in a place where I can stand out different than other people."

Reaume says he started performing at a young age.
"I started singing when I was two and that was really my first art that I went into. Around seven years old I got interested in acting and I went to Toronto, just kind of explored there and found out I really like the business and it was really interesting to see all these different people all coming together and working on the same project."
Reaume got his start in show biz in 2013 and has since had roles in several television shows and movies.
