Windsor Police are investigating the theft of a number of electric scooters.
On August 5, officers responded to reports of seven Bird e-scooters that were stolen in the area of Wyandotte Street East and Windemere Road in Walkerville between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m. the previous day.
Police say the motorized scooters had been stripped of parts, including their battery mechanisms, making them inoperable.
One of them was recovered cut in half in an alley in the 300-block of Ouellette Ave.
Residents or businesses with video surveillance in the area of Ouellette and Park Street West, as well as the 1700-block of Wyandotte, are asked to check their footage for any evidence.
So far this year, 18 Bird e-scooters have been reported stolen in Windsor.
