Two new players for Chantal Vallee and the Windsor Lancers womens basketball squad.
The Windsor Lancers Women's Basketball program has added two new recruits to its roster.
Eve Uwayesu and Samantha Gucciardi are joining the team for the 2017-2018 season.
Uwayesu, a 5'6" point guard joins the Lancers from the Ottawa Nationals in the JUEL League. Uwayesu has been named a JUEL all-star twice.
Gucciardi will bring some much needed height to the Lancers, coming in at 6'2".
The guard will be coming from Bill Crothers Secondary School where she averaged 14 points a game.
Head Coach Chantal Vallee is excited to have Uwayesu on the team, calling her the total package. Vallee says a player like Gucciardi will be essential for the continue success for future generations of the program.
