The University of Windsor men's hockey team came up with a huge victory last night.
The Lancers doubled the Ryerson Rams 4-2 at South Windsor Arena to grab the opening game in the best of three second round playoff series.
Blake Richard was sensational in goal making 44 saves.
Tyson Ness, Eric Palazzolo, Dylan Denomme and Kyle Hope scored the Windsor goals, with Palazzolo's being the game-winner and Denomme's a late empty-netter.
Game two in the series takes place Saturday night at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto.
