The Lancer men's basketball team held off the visiting McMaster Marauders, winning 81-78 at the St. Denis Centre.
The victory was Windsor's third straight win as they improve to 7-8 and take sole possession of third place in the west division standings. The Marauders drop to 2-13 on the year.
Five Lancers hit double digits with Marcus Jones leading the way with 18 points.
Fifth year senior Mike Rocca put up 16 points and 8 rebounds, while Lucas Orlita had 13 points and a team high nine rebounds.
Anthony Zrvnar had 12 and Damian Persaud came off the bench to put up 11 points.
Windsor travels to St. Catharine's Saturday to take on the No. 2 ranked Brock Badgers.
In their first game on home court in 2018, the No. 7 Lancer women's team dropped an intense game to the No. 8 McMaster Marauders 67-63.
The loss moves Windsor into a tie with the Marauders for first place in the OUA west division. McMaster has defeated the Lancers in both of their meetings this season, .
Senior Emily Prevost once again led the Blue & Gold with 14 points and eight rebounds. Jordan Gutt came off the bench to put up ten points, while Carly Steer had a game high four steals.
The Lancers out-rebounded the visitors 36-30, but were not as successful from the field, shooting 38.7% compared to McMasters 45.8%.
