The University of Windsor men's soccer team has hired a new coach.
Ryan Mendonca will head up the team effective immediately, replacing Steve Vagnini who resigned for personal reasons.
Mendonca previously served as assistant coach with both the men's and women's programs.
“With the return of Coach Mendonca to the Lancer coaching staff in the role of head coach of the men’s program, the team leadership is in good hands,” says Mike Havey, director of athletes and recreational services. “He is well connected and respected in the local soccer community.”
Mendonca says he is extremely excited and honoured to be awarded the opportunity.
