The Lady Lancers basketball team has a new acquisition.
Head coach Chantal Vallée has announced the signing and transfer Jessica Richards from the NCAA's DII Trevecca Nazarene University Trojans.
A 6'2" post, Richards played 22 games with the Trojans this past season, averaging 11.9 minutes per game, and producing 3.6 points and 2.5 rebounds per game.
Prior to that, she spent one year as a redshirt freshman with the Murray State Racers.
A native of Barrie, Vallée says Richards was a standout player with her senior basketball team at Innisdale High School, earning the honour of co-team MVP for three straight seasons.
"I chose Windsor to be my home for the next four years simply because I trust the coaching staff," Richards says. "I know that my well-being is their true interest at heart and that they truly want to see me succeed on and off the court."
