The University of Windsor Lancer men's hockey team avoided the weekend sweep in Oshawa.
They beat the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks 4-1 Saturday after dropping the series opener 6-3 Friday.
Alex Friesen had three points for the Lancers with a goal and two assists.
With the win, Windsor now sits in second place in the West Division with a record of 8-2-0-1.
Meantime, the lady Lancers are still winless through eight games this season.
They lost to the Waterloo Warriors 3-2 at the Capri Pizzeria Recreation Centre.
