The Windsor Lancer football team wrapped up its 2019 campaign in Ottawa with a 56-24 loss to the Gee-Gees Friday.
It was a back and forth battle in the first half with Windsor up 16-13 at half time, but the Lancers only managed 10-points in the second half while the Gee-Gees put 43-points on the board.
Marvin Gaynor led the Lancer rushing game with 116-yards on 11 carries while quarterback Sam Girard threw for 334-yards and two touchdowns in a losing effort.
It was a tough first season for Windsor's new head coach John-Paul Circelli as the Lancers finish with a record of 1-7.
The only win of the season came back in week one when the Lancers beat the York Lions 34-17 at Alumni Field.
