A Lakeshore teen is heading to trial on a charge of second degree murder.
Following a preliminary hearing, Justice Ronald Marion ruled there is enough evidence for the teen to stand trial in the death of 18-year-old Marcus Pierce.
Pierce was killed during a fight in Belle River in a wooded area in the Cooper Crescent and Lenore St. area in July 2017.
The accused, who was 17 years old at the time, can not be named because of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
He will go to trial charged with second degree murder, assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon.

Details heard during the preliminary hearing can not be broadcast due to a publication ban.
Several members of the Pierce family were in court wearing t-shirts with Pierce's photo.
The case now moves to Superior Court.
