A Lakeshore teen charged with murder will be heading to trial in the new year.
The teen, who can't be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 18-year-old Marcus Pierce.
In July 2017, Pierce died during a fight in a wooded area in Belle River near Cooper Crescent and Lenore St.
The accused is also charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon.
Two weeks of pretrial motions are scheduled for May 2019 and then four weeks have been set aside for jury selection and trial in September 2019.
