The Town of Lakeshore has named its new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
Truper McBride will take over the position on June 3rd. He replaces Mary Masse who was appointed interim CAO in March, after the town's previous CAO Tom Touralias was let go after four-years.
Mayor Tom Bain says McBride has been with Lakeshore for the past year serving as the town's Director of Community and Development Services.
He says McBride was also on council for 12-years in a town in Alberta serving as a councillor and mayor.
"Council felt very strongly that he's been doing a great job and based on his experience with administration and also being a former mayor out in Alberta that he had the experience to do the job," says Bain.
He says the town received 52 applications for the CAO position.
"We had five or six excellent applications and we were able to narrowing it down to Truper and very pleased that he's willing to stay with our community and he can hit the ground running."
McBride has his masters in Planning and worked at Stantec as a Senior Leader in the Planning Division.
Bain says the help wanted sign is now up for the Director of Community and Development Services position.
