The Lakeshore Canadiens look to take a commanding three-nothing series lead Friday in their PJHL Stobbs Division quarterfinal series against the Wheatley Sharks.
The Canadiens are coming off a 4-3 win in game two on Wednesday night in Wheatley.
Head Coach Anthony Iaquinta says his team is fortunate to take game two and Friday's game will be a big one.
"Anytime you get a three-nothing series lead in a series it's nice and sort of doesn't give them any life," he says. "But we need to start working harder all over the ice. I mean they're just out battling us, out playing us right now and if you ask me we're pretty fortunate to take game two and be in the position we're in."
Iaquinta says he wants to see more from his forwards.
"Our defence has been playing pretty good, I got to give credit. They're not getting too much help right now so we need to improve with our forward group just battling and getting a good fore-check and getting pucks out. It's been a little bit of an issue here for the past couple weeks."
He says the Sharks are a different team compared to the regular season.
"They're relentless, they don't stop and they don't quit. It's been nice to watch from their point of view obviously as an opponent, you wish they wouldn't play like that but they've been really just putting their all into it."
Erik Morneau will be between the pipes for the Canadiens.
Game time tonight at the Atlas Tube Centre is set for 7pm.
