Calling all students.
The Town of Lakeshore is now accepting applications for its 2017 summer student lottery. Manager of Human Resources Lisa Granger says just over 30 summer positions are available.
Granger says positions vary.
"We have outside work such as public works, marina, parks and in water," she says. "And then we have some indoor positions for clerical and we also have a great number of student available for day camp positions working with children. We've had very good results in previous years over 100 applications for many of the past few years and we anticipate the same sort of response."
The jobs pay $14.47 per hour and students have until March 23rd at 4pm to apply.
Applications are available on the town's website or can be picked up at the municipal office on Notre Dame St. Eligible students must be 16 years old as of April 30, 2017.
They must also be enrolled as a full time student in either secondary or post secondary schools.
