The General Manager of the Lakeshore Horse Racing Association is speaking out against allegations of harness horse race fixing at the Leamington and Dresden tracks.
"I'll be very frank, I was very disappointed in the lack of information that was released by AGCO," says Wayne Martinuik.
Martinuik says he was made aware of the active investigation by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) through the media.
He says the association has been provided a copy of the written complaint and has met with the individuals named in the allegation.
Martinuik says the association is satisfied the allegations have no merit and were made with malicious intent.
"I'm hopeful that AGCO will make the same conclusion and make that kind of comment but they're probably a little more political than I am and they will probably just say, nothing wrong doing end of story is what I would expect but I could be wrong," says Martinuik.
Martinuik says the association has been in contact with the AGCO and the investigation is suppose to wrap up in the next three to four days.
AM800 news has been told the allegation was submitted to the AGCO in November.
