The Lakeshore Canadiens are looking to make it 10 in a row when they head to Wallaceburg Wednesday night.
The fourth place Canadiens beat the last place Lakers last Friday at home 8-2.
It was a 3-2 game heading into the third until Lakeshore scored five straight.
Lakeshore forward Ameen Fadel says the team woke up in the third after struggling the first two periods.
"I think in the third period we realized that we're in a close game, we need to step it up so we got back to our game," says Fadel. "We played hard and just kept in simple again."
He adds despite the winning streak, the team wants to improve.
"It's always nice to have a win streak but you can't let that get to your head," says Fadel. "In this league, it's really tight so everybody can beat everybody so you just got to play your game and keep things going."
Lakeshore has outscored its opponents 57 to 12 during its nine game winning streak in the Provincial Junior Hockey League.
Puck drop Wednesday at the Wallaceburg Memorial Arena is set for 7:30 p.m.
