Lakeshore's busiest fire hall will soon be equipped with warning lights.
Council approved the installation of emergency warning lights at Fire Station #1 on County Rd. 22 east of County Rd. 25.
The flashing amber emergency lights will activate when fire trucks are leaving the station heading to an emergency.
The lights will be installed on both the east and west side of the street.
Lakeshore Mayor Tom Bain says there is a lot of traffic on County Rd. 22 and the warning lights will improve safety for drivers and firefighters heading to an emergency.
Fire Station #1 responded to more than 200 emergency calls in 2018.
