The building boom continues in Lakeshore.
Mayor Tom Bain says 2018 was a busy here for developers.
He says Lakeshore remains the leader in Essex County for residential development.
Bain says despite the growth, there are still some challenges with infrastructure.
"You've got to be able to get your infrastructure out to those areas and you got developers who are wanting to get those sewage lines out there," says Bain. "Get those water lines out in that area and then you got to make sure that you got sidewalks and roads and all of the infrastructure to go with it."

He adds there will be more development in 2019.
"We have about three more big projects that's carrying over from 2018 that will be going into 2019, the growth continues there," says Bain. "We're beginning to see attraction of small businesses coming in the area so that's another plus."
Bain says he'll continue to push for widening of Highway 3 from Essex to Leamington in 2019 and says the town will re-visit retail marijuana shops.
Earlier this month, Lakeshore council decided to opt-out for the time being.
