A new policy could be implemented in Lakeshore for how the Town will deal with damaged trees after storm events.
During Tuesday's meeting, council approved a notice of motion to look into chipper needs in the future after large storm events.
Councillor John Kerr presented the motion, expressing that there is still broken trees and branches around the municipality following the storm events at the end of August, 2023.
Damaged trees and limbs were a result of the two-day storm events which included heavy rain, wind, and an EF1 tornado that touched down in parts of Lakeshore.
Council has unanimously approved a motion that directs administration to bring a report to the 2024 Draft Budget outlining how the Municipality will address chipper needs in the future.
