The local schools easily claim district championships in High School football
The two local schools easily captured SWOSSAA Senior Boys Football Championships last night at the University of Windsor.
In the double 'AA' contest L'Essor crushed Wallaceburg 49-14.
Quarterback Daniel Thrasher and running back Danny Byrne both had three touchdowns to power the Aigles attack.Wyatt Hanson added a 21 yard T.D. run for L'Essor.Quarterback, Tanner Cole had both touchdowns for the Tartans.
In the triple 'AAA' game it was all Holy Names, as the Knights blasted Sarnia St Patrick 41-6.
The Knights lead 14-0 at the half, then blew things wide open in the final 24 minutes.
