LaSalle's Olympic medalist Kylie Masse has been named the Athlete Ambassador for the 13th FINA World Swimming Championships.
As the ambassador, she will be the poster child and will promote the championships at different events leading up to the games in Windsor.
Masse says this puts Windsor on the map for the swimming world. "Windsor is a small place so people who are coming from Vancouver and Toronto, it is super fun to tell them this is my home town, this is where I grew up."
The World Swimming Championships will be held at the WFCU Centre in Windsor from December 6th to the 11th.
Masse tied for the bronze medal in the 100m backstroke at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.
