It's a busy day ahead for town councillors in Kingsville.
Deliberations on the town's 2017 budget take place today with councillors looking for cuts to a proposed 4.7-percent tax increase.
Chief Administrative Officer Peggy Van Mierlo-West says it's a balancing act between rising costs and meeting the service expectations of residents. "I think for us it's always how we can afford our capital projects, how we can provide a good customer service level for our resident," says Van Mierlo-West ."Those seem to be the big things for us."
She admits, with rising policing and electricity costs, finding places to trim isn't going to be easy.
If no decision is made today, another budget session is set for January 25th.
