Essex OPP arrested 60yearold Robert Kissner Saturday
Kingsville's fire chief has been arrested by the OPP on sex-related offences.
On Saturday, Essex OPP were called to investigate an allegation of sexual assault against a minor.
As a result, 60-year-old Robert Kissner was charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual exploitation.
He appeared in court today.
Mayor Nelson Santos says Jeff Dean has been appointed as acting chief in Kingsville.
"The report of the charges from the police has taken our community aback," Santos says. "We can assure the residents that the community will continue to have emergency services in place."
Chief Kissner has been a fire chief in Essex County for over 20 years.
