Kingsville Native Sent Packing At NHL Trade Deadline

Dalton Prout is on his way to the New Jersey Devils.

Kingsville native and NHL defenceman Dalton Prout is on the move during today's NHL trade deadline.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have shipped the 26-year-old to the New Jersey Devils for fellow blueliner, and ex-Red Wing, Kyle Quincey.

Prout has split the year between Columbus and its AHL affiliate the Cleveland Monsters.

In 15 games with the Blue Jackets this season, he's collected 3 assists and 14 penalty minutes.

In 224 NHL games he's amassed six goals, 33 points and 263 penalty minutes.

Prout played his junior hockey with the Sarnia Sting and Barrie Colts.
