The town of Kingsville has issued a statement emphasizing that emergency calls for fires have not been affected following the arrest of the town's fire chief.
60-year-old Bob Kissner was arrested on the weekend on two counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual exploitation.
It follows an investigation by the OPPĀ of allegations of sexual assault against a minor.
Kissner has been in custody since his arrest and the town has appointed Deputy Chief Jeff Dean as acting fire chief effective immediately.
In a news release, the town said the interim appointment is in keeping with the town's emergency service protocol to ensure the community is protected.
It says the town's fire department personnel continue to be prepared to respond to any and all emergency calls without any disruption in service.
Kissner had been the town's fire chief since 1998 and was the fire chief in Leamington for three years prior.
