The former 'Kings Landing' restaurant in Kingsville is set for a refresh after the town secured a $181,500 federal grant.
The money comes from the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program.
The building will now go by the name the 'Grovedale Arts and Culture Centre' and the town must complete the renovation project before the end of the year or it will lose the money.
Kingsville Mayor Nelson Santos says the need for the centre is evident. "It's booked solid and we've identified another small space that would be available for the community. They'd be willing to take advantage of that."
The renovation at the arts and culture centre is just one part of the larger make-over of the new Mettawas Park.
The grant is set to cover only about a third of the total project costs at the Grovedale centre.
