Kingsville could take a deeper look at its rules when it comes to short-term rentals.
Deputy Mayor Gord Queen says several residents have approached him with concerns after Airbnbs popped up in their neighbourhood.
Queen will ask administration to bring back a report on the current regulations and what rules might need to be added.
"We're getting some feedback from residents and it's one of the things I think council should know what's going on and what the residents want," says Queen. "Some of them have no concerns and others are asking, 'what's going on and why?’”
He tells AM800 News the goal isn't to end short-term rentals.
"Basically, I think the municipality doesn't have a problem if they're run correctly," added Queen, who goes on to say the rentals are a big part of the town's tourism industry.
Council gets underway at Kingsville's town hall Monday at 5:30 p.m.
