The Kidney Foundation of Canada is looking for volunteers to help raise money during Kidney Health Month.
The organization will be going door-to-door, canvassing 1,000 routes in Windsor-Essex County, in its biggest fundraiser of the year.
Last year the campaign raised $61,000 to go towards kidney-related research.
Fund Development Officer for the Kidney Foundation Ericka Muscat says Kidney Disease is on the rise in Windsor-Essex. She says they need many more volunteers before March.
"We probably need a couple hundred more people to come forward, if not more," says Muscat. "We have 1,000 routes that need to be canvassed in total and we have about 500 completed."
