A plush, toy version of 'Justice' the dog is up for sale.
The Windsor-Essex Humane Society is selling the stuffed toys as a fundraiser with proceeds going toward animal abuse investigations.
'Justice' is the Patterdale Terrier found in a field off Walker Rd. last December with its muzzle and legs bound with electrical tape.
The dog spent months in recovery before being adopted.
Society Executive Director Melanie Coulter is hoping for a good response to the sale. "We know there were a lot of people who were disappointed they couldn't take him home and previously around the holidays we have done some symbolic adoptions, so we have had stuffed animals they could adopt and virtual adoptions at the shelter."
Coulter says "the stuffed animal looks just like 'Justice.' The resemblance is difficulty to do in plush but he is recognizable and they do have a tag about his story and the fact that people purchasing the stuffed animal will help other animals in need."
The toys are $30 and are available at the Humane Society on Provincial Rd.
