The judge in the murder trial of Andrew Cowan will begin her charge to the jury this afternoon.
Justice Gorman expects to conclude her comments tomorrow, then dismiss the 2 alternate jurors and hand the remaining 12 the case for deliberations.
The 47-year-old Leamington man is charged from an October 2012 crash that led to the death of 54-year-old Edward Witt from injuries.

Defence attorney Pat Ducharme and Assistant Crown Tom Meehan both made their final submissions today.
Ducharme leaned on the "suicide pact" he says was at the heart of the case.
He says a text the night of the crash is evidence of that agreement between the 2.
Ducharme also re-iterated testimony from several witnesses that he says suggest Witt was depressed and suicidal over a romance that did not come together and a loss of $2500 at the casino.
Crown Tom Meehan countered there is no evidence of a suicide pact, arguing that the text was solely Cowan's and Witt was not aware.
Meehan says testimony from family members of Witt indicated he was acting normally and showed no sign of depression or wanting to commit suicide.
He added that Witt was an inveterate gambler who had lost much larger sums in the past and there was not indication he was in financial trouble.
Both lawyers told jurors the evidence is theirs to believe or discount.
